Things I can always rely on, no matter where my head and heart have been:

1) Arvo Paart's "Alina", to relax me and help me sleep
2) JS Bach's "Passion of St Matthew", to help me ground
3) Punjabi Pop to help me dance
4) Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now", also to help me ground
5) Sushi, to make my tastebuds smile
6) Fresh, raw veggies out of my garden, to make me proud AND make my tastebuds smile
7) John Denver, to make me wistful
8) A late-night full moon walk/picnic, to center me and remind me why I'm here
9) Nuzzles from any one of my four-legged friends, also to center me and remind me why I'm here
10) My library card AND my NetFlix sub, to keep me connected to pop culture and remind me there's a buzzing world out there beyond the slice of wilderness where I live.

Also high on my list:

11) Leather boots, to keep me safe from brambles and snakes and scorpions
12) My car, which gives me freedom to escape the wild when I need to
13) The Internet, which connects me to my friends and family even from the backwoods isolation where I live
14) The postal service, which still delivers mail out here one day a week even though they don't legally have to

I don't really have a top ten, but your post reminds me of the movie "High Fidelity." One of my faves. They always made top 5 lists. Check the movie out, you'll get a kick out of it.
